Anne Hathaway's Turtleneck Dress Combined So Many Trends at Once

Thanks to a fashion renaissance that saw her debut in a plethora of iconic outfits that will go down in fashion history, Anne Hathaway is without a doubt one of the most recognisable fashion icons of the past ten years.

The actress most recently wore a brown ribbed turtleneck dress and a fringe maxiskirt to a screening of her new thriller Eileen, which opens in theatres on December 1. Hathaway accessorised the sleeveless dress with a set of matching rings, gold bangles, and delicate hoops earrings.

Orlando Pita, a celebrity stylist, masterfully arranged the actress's brown hair into easy waves and a side parting. She went for a bronze smokey eye, thick liner, and glossy lips for her glam look.

She dressed in a full-denim maxiskirt and corset, channelling Britney Spears at first, and then she slipped into a sheer red lace Rodarte gown with exquisite rosettes adorning one shoulder.

As it turns out, Hathaway draws inspiration from younger generations to give her clothing a youthful vibe. She revealed this earlier this year. She said in an interview with Vogue, "I know this sounds like I'm super-pandering, but I'm really switched on by Gen Z."

Her ability to update classic styles for a contemporary spin on a tried-and-true standard is one of her talents and the reason her closet has something for everyone.
