How Many Games Should Draymond Green Be Suspended For After He Choked Rudy Gobert: Latrell Sprewell Was Suspended For 68 Games For Choking P.J. Carlesimo In 1997

Draymond Green looks set to be punished for his chokehold on Rudy Gobert.

Latrell Sprewell had been suspended for a year for choking and hitting P.J. Carlesimo

Draymond Green was ejected for putting Rudy Gobert in a chokehold during the game between the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night.

There is more punishment coming Green's way, you'd think, in the form of a suspension, but the question is how long would it be.

This incident wasn't the type we see every now and then in the league, but there is actually a precedent of sorts. Back in 1997,

Warriors star Latrell Sprewell had been suspended for the year by the NBA (reduced from 82 games to 68 games) for choking and then hitting his head coach, P.J. Carlesimo.

Carlesimo was known for his aggressive coaching style and had butted heads with Sprewell fairly often.

On December 1, 1997, though, things got completely out of hand.
