Paul George Fined $35,000 For Criticizing Official

Paul George has been punished for his comments against the officiating in Nuggets vs. Clippers.

Paul George was not happy with the Clippers' loss to the Nuggets last night,

remarking that the Clippers were playing the game 8 vs. 5, implying that the referees were aligned with the Nuggets.

The league has responded with a $35,000 fine for the Clippers star as he broke the rules on criticizing officials.

LA Clippers forward Paul George has been fined $35,000 for public criticism of the officiating,

it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.

The fine amount is based in part on George's history of public criticism of the officiating.

George made his comments to the media following the Clippers' 111-108 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Nov. 14 at Ball Arena.
