‘Tiny Pretty Things' star Barton Cowperthwaite is battling brain cancer

"Tiny Pretty Things" actor Barton Cowperthwaite has been fighting a private health battle.

On Nov. 10, the actor and ballet dancer revealed he has brain cancer and is set to undergo surgery.

With a picture of himself in a medical gown and pictures from his brain scan, the 31-year-old posted on Instagram, "Yesterday I was diagnosed with at least a stage 2 Glioma."

It is a brain tumor of a respectable size. Since the tumor's cells started in the brain, a malignancy hasn't progressed to any other part of the body."

"Brain surgery is the only treatment for something like this," he went on. Thus far, doctors are optimistic that they can remove the majority of the tumor and that following a successful procedure

and some rehabilitation, I'll be back to being my incredible, gifted, intelligent, and humorous self. Having said that, it appears that scans and examinations will continue to be a part of my life for the foreseeable future."
